UCSC Agroecology Farm

The UCSC Agro-ecology Farm is the centerpiece of a research and education group at the University. Their goal is to research, develop, and advance sustainable food and agricultural systems which are environmentally sound, economically viable, and socially responsible. Visitors can see true "state of the art" sustainable agricultural systems developed from Alan Chadwick's pioneering efforts started in 1967 at the Chadwick Garden. (see Next)

The Circle Trail does not yet have a permanent route across the UCSC campus. The interim route crosses the base of the campus is described in the Complete Trail Description. However, there are many beautiful hiking and cycling trails across meadows and through the redwoods. All are open to the public.
